It’s amazing to me how pay scales can vary so much from one part of the country to another. Recently I was checking out the pay scale for surgical technician online to see what I could expect if I were hired in this area. I was pleased that this part of the country pays better than some, but the big money is in the big city, and I’m not sure I want to make that transition. My family is really important to me, and since the wages are still good in this region, I think that I will just plan to stay planted here. There’s really no place like home sweet home.
